Traditionally, landscapes refer to sweeping vistas and panoramas of dramatic cloudscapes, mountains and forests. Today, from my seat, working from home, the only changing landscape I see is the city and sky. As inorganic the urbanscape is, when juxtaposed against an ever-changing sky; it offers vibrant views that change constantly with time, construction and development. It is at times, a cold machine grabbing up space relentlessly. The medium for the series is based on detailed minute collage using discarded magazines; I wanted the medium to reflect an environmentally sensitive method and material to honor the traditional landscapes and their hopeful existence for later generations to come
