Shahdia is a qualified Chartered Architect, with over 9 years of experience. She completed her undergraduate in Architecture and the Built Environment at Taylor's University, Malaysia and proceeded to complete her Masters and Charter qualification at The City School of Architecture, Colombo. She has experience in commercial, retail and residential projects; both in full spectrum services as well as customized interior design. She handled the Porsche Car Showroom refurbishment, St Bridgets Convent Multi purpose building, Skoda Car Showroom project and Osaka Heights Condominium project under ACSIntegrated, and is the Lead Architect/Consultant for Careplus Eldercare Home Facilities. 

Among the number of retail projects completed, her recent projects include; the Mimosa Flagship Store, Amy G Boutique, Dilly and Carlo outlets for Liberty Plaza, Majestic City, Crescat Boulevard, Flower Road and One Galle Face Shangri-La along with the interior fit-out and renovation for the Blue Water Hotel in-house Boutique and the interior fit-out for Santai Malaysian Restaurant. Her other specializations include mural work, graphic design and fine art.
